Mentor's superhero, the community celebrates Jacob Goss

A celebration fit for a super hero. People in Mentor, came together Friday to celebrate a very special 10-year-old boy, Jacob Goss.

Goss battled brain cancer for years, bravely and with a smile on his face. He lost his fight this week, but not before inspiring the city he grew up in.

"He influenced so many people in so many ways," Nathan Bartley said.

The 10-year-old boy's fearless battle with a difficult cancer brought the Mentor community together.

"It's crazy how one person can change a while community," Andrew Teachout said.

Goss influenced his classmates and even his former teacher, Megan Seneski.

"He has touched so many lives. It's amazing," Seneski said.

An amazing young man. Friday, the community came together at the first home football game in Mentor. Dedicated to Jacob, to celebrate an inspirational person, whose life cut short, taught those young and old, a very special lesson.

"Life is too short to be anything but happy. Smile often," Seneski said.
