Wind, rain knock out power again to northeast Ohio communities

CLEVELAND - Wind and rain have again knocked out power to regions battered by Superstorm Sandy two weeks ago.

Some customers who were without power for more than a week from Sandy are back in the dark.

Areas hit hardest by Monday's wet and windy conditions, as of 4 p.m., include:

Cleveland - 173
North Olmsted - 2,359
Shaker Heights - 317
Westlake - 581

Avon, Bay Village and North Ridgeville also experienced widespread power outages Monday morning, but electricity to those customers has since been restored.

You can check this outage map from FirstEnergy for updates on the number of homes without power.
