Stuff your face with as many Nathan's hot dogs as you can in competition at Tower City

Winners go to New York competition

CLEVELAND - A hot dog company wants to see if any Clevelanders can stuff their faces enough to qualify for a national competition.

You see the video every year - people at New York's Coney Island who scarf down dog after dog after dog.

Now's your chance to star in Nathan's International Hot Dog Eating Contest. That is, if you can qualify at Tower City on June 7. The top dog eaters there will go on to the New York competition, which airs on ESPN and is seen by millions of people. You could even win a cash prize.

The defending world champ is Joey Chestnut of San Jose, California. He ate 68 hot dogs (and buns) in 10 minutes last year. He's going for his sixth title this year.

And it's not just for guys. Ladies are encouraged to chomp away. Sonya Thomas of Alexandria, Virginia, is the defending female champion. She wolfed down 40 hot dogs (and buns) in 10 minutes last year.

Even if you don't want to stuff your face with hot dogs at Tower City next month, it may be fun to watch other Clevelanders try.
