DUBLIN - One of Pres. Barack Obama's presidential limousines became stuck on a ramp at the U.S. embassy in Dublin on Monday.
A large crowd had turned out to wave farewell to Obama as he made his way out of the Irish capital, but their cheers turned to gasps when the black Cadillac caught the slope of the embassy driveway and hit it with a loud bang.
Reports said the limousine bottomed out at the top of the driveway.
It rendered the vehicle inoperable. Occupants were relocated into other vehicles and the motorcade departed out another exit without further incident. There were no injuries.
U.S. officials said the car was not carrying the president at the time. Barack and Michelle Obama later left via helicopter.
