Parlors rally for 11-year-old who attempted suicide after he was bullied for liking 'My Little Pony'

RALEIGH, N.C. - An 11-year-old boy recovering from an attempted suicide has an unusual posse of supporters: Dozens of tattoo parlors, "motorcyclists and bad boys, even tough girls."

Michael Morones tried to hang himself after he was bullied for loving the cartoon "My Little Pony," according to a report by ABC affiliate WTVD in Raleigh, North Carolina .

As his parents turned to specialists to help save him, the medical bills have mounted.

That's when fundraisers took on a whole new life as people turned out in droves to get tattoos of "My Little Pony" characters, raising more than $70,000 in the process.
