Two killed in Windsor Township crash

SUV slid off road into ditch

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A one-vehicle crash in Ashtabula County left two people dead on Sunday.

The Ashtabula Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said they received the call about the accident at 4:37 p.m. The crash happened on New Hudson Road, east of Noble Road, in Windsor Township.

Authorities said a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer tried to pass another vehicle and slid off the road into a ditch. The vehicle hit two trees before it came to rest on its passenger side.

The crash ejected the driver of the vehicle, as well as two passengers. The highway patrol said they were not using seat belts.

Michael A. Scott and Laura A. Scott, both of Windsor Township, were killed in the crash.

Three children, ages 8, 9 and 12, were taken to Geauga Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
