A California is facing felony drug charges after the Ohio State Highway Patrol seized 200 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop in Preble County, last Tuesday.
On November 22, troopers stopped a pickup truck with a Nevada license plate for impeding traffic on I-70. Troopers brought a drug-sniffing canine to the vehicle and a probable cause search revealed the contraband.
According to troopers, the drugs were worth approximately $1 million. The driver, 62-year-old, Nancy Jean Thompson of Groveland California was charged with a second-degree felony of drug possession.
If convicted Thompson could face up to eight years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
