School administrators in Wooster are investigating after a 3-year-old child was found unattended on a school bus.
The incident happened the morning of Sept. 2 when the child was found alone and sleeping on a bus at the district's maintenance yard.

The child was not hurt and did not need medical attention, according to officials.
The student was heading to Littlest Generals pre-school, which is located inside Cornerstone Elementary School.
The child's teacher noticed the student was not in class, and notified the mother, who is also a Wooster City school teacher.
Wooster City Schools' Superintendent Dr. Michael Tefs said legal counsel is now investigating.

He said the driver failed to check the bus to make sure all the students had exited as required by Ohio law.
"Those families entrust us with the safety of their children every day," Tefs said. "And in this particular situation, the district let that family down."
Tefs said a due process hearing is underway to determine if the driver should face any penalties.
In the meantime, he said drivers are now reviewing procedures in order to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
