A tweet sent out Friday by Wayne County Sheriffs' Office about a large amount of meat being stolen led to the arrest of three people.

A Canaan Township business reported a break in that resulted in 850 pounds of stolen beef.  After police posted a message to its twitter page, information began to come in within 15 minutes about the suspects.

Deputies working the case executed a search warrant to Canaan Center road.  When they entered the residence the deputies discovered a large amount of meat in a bath tub that had been covered with snow, keeping it cool.  More meat was also found throughout the house.

James Malone, 36, Penny Malone, 41, and Tyler Chrostowski, 24 all of Wooster were arrested for receiving stolen property.  All three suspects have long criminal records.

The meat had at value of over $9000.00.
