Fire damages Doylestown electrical company building, bar; Jake's Pizza a total loss

While many in northeast Ohio fought overnight storms and flooding, fire crews in Doylestown battled a structure fire at 73 North Portage Street.

An electrical business caught fire just after midnight Tuesday and required nearly 10 departments from around Wayne and Summit County to put the flames out.

According to Chippewa Township Fire Chief Ron Browning the fire started in the Dannemiller Electric building that is part of a block of historic buildings in the middle of the Wayne County village along Portage Street.

The majority of the fire was contained to the original building, which houses two businesses. Jake's Pizza is one of those businesses and is a total loss, the building's owner tells NewsChannel5.

Dutch Dannemiller Electricity suffered smoke damage but is open for business and is operational

A bar and telephone company suffered smoke and heat damage according to Browning.

The fire was under control just after 1 a.m and the cause is still under investigation.
