Authorities said 36-year-old Kenan Ivery of Akron became unruly and was asked to leave the Papa Don's.

They said he then returned with a gun and shot off-duty Akron officer Justin Winebrenner.

Winebrenner, 32, was unarmed.

Ivery pleaded not guilty on 18 counts, including aggravated murder.

The video shows patrons gathered in Papa Don’s when Ivery enters the bar.

Shortly after entering, Ivery is met by a large man, who authorities said is David Wokaty.

Ivery can be seen pulling his shirt up several times to show a gun in his belt line.

Two men are seen approaching Ivery from his left and right. Police and prosecutors identified those men as Winebrenner and Michael Capes.

The two men appear to grab at Ivery’s arms in an attempt to remove him from the bar, and that’s when shots can be heard.

Legal teams for both sides paint different pictures.

Prosecutors said the men were heroes attempting to remove a man intent on injuring people at the bar.

The defense said Ivery was threatened by three intoxicated men and acted in self-defense.
