AKRON, Ohio - Eleven iPads were stolen from an Akron middle school on Thursday when thieves used a brick to break through a back window, police said.
The incident happened at about 9:40 a.m. on Thanksgiving at Roswell Kent Middle School on Hammel Street.
Akron police said the three suspects broke a window to get inside, and then used fire extinguishers to get into a second-floor classroom. They took 11 iPads and four laptop computers, according to the police department. They also sprayed the room with the fire extinguisher.
Akron police charged three teens, ages 13, 16 and 17, with breaking and entering. They were taken to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.'
The stolen items were returned to the school.
