Race day packet pickup for Akron Marathon happening at John S. Knight Center

AKRON, Ohio - Fifteen-thousand runners are signed up for all of the Akron Marathon races Saturday, but before they head to the start line tomorrow, they need to pick up their race packet at the John S. Knight Center on East Mill Street.

Participants can head to the Health and Fitness Expo at the center Friday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

It's a free event and is open to the public.

If you can't pick up your own race day packet, you can have someone pick it up for you.

Runners will find plenty to check out at the expo, including speakers, dozens of exhibitor booths and race merchandise.

Race organizers will also have a question and answer session for runners taking part in the full marathon, the half marathon and the team relay.

All of the races start at 7 a.m. at 177 South Broadway. The finish line is at Canal Park Stadium at 300 South Main Street.
