Jeffrey White was charged with hit and skip after allegedly running over his girlfriend following a fight they had a her house on Briner Avenue early Sunday, according to Akron police.
The 43-year-old woman eventually died from her injuries.
White, 41, of Akron got in his 2001 Cadillac after leaving the house and he reportedly struck the 43-year-old woman, detectives said.
Around 1 a.m. a driver who was traveling in the 2000 block of Briner Avenue found the woman unconscious and lying in the street. Akron police and EMS responded.
Detectives arrested and charged White with felony hit-skip.
White is at the Summit County Jail pending his arraignment, additional charges are expected, according to police.
