Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized hundreds of thousands of dollars of cocaine during a traffic stop in Summit County earlier this week.
Troopers stopped a 2008 Chrysler 300 about 4 p.m. Monday for a traffic violation, according to State Highway Patrol news release. During the stop, troopers observed marijuana shake in the car resulting in a search.
The search revealed eight pounds of cocaine in the car's trunk worth $340,000.
The driver, Tanecia R. Richardson, 31, of Morgantown, W. Va., was being held in the Summit County Jail on charges of aggravated possession and aggravated trafficking in cocaine, both first-degree felonies.
If convicted, Richardson could face up to 20 years in prison and up to a $40,000 fine.
