A man was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for a shooting outside an Akron bar that killed one person and injured another last October, the Summit County Prosecutor confirmed on Tuesday.

Queitin Tyler, 34, of Noble Avenue in Akron, will be eligible for parole after serving 23 years in prison.

Tyler was found guilty by a Summit County jury of the following charges: two counts of murder with gun specifications, two counts of felonious assault with gun specifications and carrying concealed weapons.

On Oct. 20, 2017, Tyler got into an argument with another patron outside Halftime Sports Bar, 1505 South Main Street.

Prosecutors said Tyler went inside the bar, retrieved a gun from a friend and came back outside, firing several shots.

Darian Hardison, 27, of Wooster, was shot and killed. The man who got into an argument with Tyler was hit in the stomach with a bullet and survived.
