Handguns, rifles stolen from Cuyahoga Falls cars; Two charged

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Police arrested two people after guns, jewelry and other valuables were taken from cars in Cuyahoga Falls.

Over the past couple months, thieves stole two handguns, two rifles, ammunition, cash, jewelry, credit cars, computers and GPS units from several cars. So far, police said most of the stolen items have been recovered, but the two handguns are still missing.

Cuyahoga Falls police said 26-year-old Robert J. Pointe was already at the Lorain Correctional Facility for other offenses, but will be arraignment for the car break-ins. He has been charged with grand theft, theft, receiving stolen property and falsification.

Officers also arrested Diana M. Mikoletic, 28, on charges of misuse of credit cards, receiving stolen property and falsification, police said. She was arraigned and released on bond.
