FBI identifies assault victim found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, asks public for help in case

The FBI has identified the assault victim who was found seriously injured in Cuyahoga Valley National Park last week. 

The agency is not releasing the victim's identity at this time.

Officials are still asking for the public's help for information in the case.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a field near Akron-Peninsula and Northhampton roads in Boston Township around 9:21 a.m. on July 3.

She was described as African American, about 110 to 120 pounds and roughly 5-feet 4-inches tall. She was wearing light blue jean shorts, a pink tank top and white sneakers.
