Fairlawn Police are investigating after a Republic Waste Services truck driver found a dead body in the back of his truck early Saturday morning, authorities said.
Police received a call from the truck driver at around 4 a.m. on Saturday while the man was on his morning route at a commercial building, located at 2855 W. Market St. The driver told police he believed there was a body in the back of his vehicle.
Officials said the truck's morning route includes pick-ups from three different jurisdictions. Authorities are working to determine which jurisdiction the incident may have occurred.
Police have not yet released the victim's identity.
