Device explodes at Cuyahgoa Falls Post Office

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Police have arrested a man they said is responsible for a small explosion outside the Cuyahoga Falls Post Office early Thursday morning.

Shane M. Fraley, 42, of Cuyahgoa Falls, is charged with unlawful possession and manufacturing of a dangerous ordinance, arson, vandalism and possession of criminal tools.

Police said he walked into the police station and told them that he had set off the device outside the building at 2054 2nd Street.

An USPS Corporate Communications spokesperson said it happened around 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., before any employees arrived to work.

The spokesperson said the only damage reported was a broken window on the building.

No one hurt and the post office is back open.

The incident is under investigation by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and the U.S. Postal Inspection services.

No other information was released.
