CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Get pulled over in Cuyahoga Falls? No need to worry. Getting out of minor offenses may be easier than you think during the holidays.
The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department said people who get a traffic warning can trade it in if they donate a toy to Toys for Tots.
The department said officers will issue "toy waivers" to replace a typical warning received – but it only applies to minor traffic cases.
Drivers given these waivers will be given the option to drop off new, unwrapped toys at the police department between Dec. 2 and Dec. 15.
"In the spirit of the holiday season, I hope that the donated toys will have a positive and lasting impact on the children of our community and the drivers who are saved more than a few dollars in fines and court costs," said Mayor Don Robart.
