Barberton police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred between an SUV and a train Thursday morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of Waterloo Road and Wooster Road North around 6:17 a.m.
According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, the SUV went around other vehicles and the lowered crossing gates before it was hit by the train.
The driver, 51 year-old Anthony Nichols, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating.
