Akron man arrested for drug trafficking after admitting to supplying a woman drugs before she died

AKRON, Ohio - The Summit County Sheriff's Office and Coventry Fire Department responded to a call about an unresponsive female on July 8.

The woman, Kelley Harrington, was found with no signs of life. She was later transported to Akron General Medical Center and pronounced dead, Summit County Sheriff's Office said.

While conducting the investigation, Joseph T. Morgan admitted to supplying Harrington with drugs prior to her death, according to deputies.

The sheriff's office then obtained a search warrant for Morgan's home. Officers seized 21 firearms, an undetermined amount of marijuana, other controlled substances and $110,000 in cash.

Morgan was arrested for trafficking drugs and was taken to the Summit County jail.

The case is currently still under investigation.
