19-year-old Akron man wanted in deadly stabbing of two men on South Rose Boulevard

AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are looking for a suspect after two men were found stabbed to death inside at South Rose Boulevard apartment.

Officers were called to the apartment just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday for a wellness check. Police said they entered through an unlocked door and discovered the bodies of a father and son. They were identified as Bryan K. May, 53, and Jeremy A. Putra, 20.

Witnesses told police that 19-year-old Robert Pitts Jr. was staying on South Rose Boulevard for the last few weeks. He is now wanted for aggravated murder.

Police said Pitts is considered armed and extremely dangerous. He is about 5 foot 10 and weighs 215 pounds.

A 2006 Jeep Liberty was recovered in Ashtabula in the case.
