19 iPads stolen from Springfield High School, 3 juveniles arrested

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio - Three juveniles were arrested and charged with burglary, theft and vandalism after more than $7,000 worth of iPads were stolen from Springfield High School.
Officers responded to the high school on Nov. 3 for a reported burglary. Springfield Township police discovered extensive vandalism to the building as well as 19 missing iPads valued at $7,581.
With assistance from the school's information technology (IT) department, detectives established that the iPads were being sold to unsuspecting buyers. Springfield detectives initiated a sting operation purchased two of the stolen iPads from the suspects.
Three juveniles were arrested and charged with felony burglary, theft and vandalism. They were booked into the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center. The 19 iPads were recovered.
