A 65-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash on at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard NE and Broadway Avenue NE on Sunday night.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at around 8:05 p.m. The crash was at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard NE and Broadway Avenue NE when a 17-year-old girl failed to yield when turning left. She struck 65-year-old Sally Pacheco of Alliance, Ohio, who was driving a car with four children in the back.
Both the girl and Pacheco were transported to Mercy Medical Center by the Nimishillen Township Fire Department with serious injuries. Pacheco was pronounced dead at the hospital. The children in her car were also taken to the hospital but had no serious injuries.
Alcohol isn't believed to have contributed to the crash, the incident is still under investigation.
