A student was arrested in connection to clown threats at Perry Local School District on Monday evening.

On Monday morning, school administrators at Perry Local School District reported a threat that was made on Twitter. An account called 'Frown the Clown' threatened to "shoot up" one of the schools in the district.

The account's bio read,  "My name is Frown The Clown we attack anyone you want us to just tweet, we will choose schools randomly." The user also said that Perry Local School District would be the first.

Detectives investigated the case throughout the day and around 7:30 p.m. police arrested a 12-year-old student they believe was behind the threat.

The juvenile involved was charged with one count of inducing panic which is a 2nd-degree felony. They were booked into the Juvenile Attention Center.
