JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Do you remember when your doctor would make house calls?
One Stark County doctor has come up with a mobile veterinary hospital , the only twist, she will come to your home to check out your furry friend.
Dr. Julia Morrow said she will examine and treat your pet inside the mobile hospital or even inside your home.
On a recent appointment Morrow and veterinarian technician Jen Nugent paid a visit to Jim Bruce's Jackson Township home. His 11-year-old cat Sheba and 9-year-old dog Rocky were due for checkups.
Bruce said the house call was less stressful than an office visit, on pets and himself.
Dr. Morrow said another advantage to making house calls, she can see the animal and its owner in their everyday environment.
If you want to check out the Mobile Hospital, Morrow said it will be on display Saturday, March 15 at North Canton Tractor and Supply, 5840 Whipple Ave. NW from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
