NORTH CANTON, Ohio - A woman will spend three years in prison for a fire that damaged three homes in North Canton, police said.
On April 12, 2012, 41-year-old Rose Ann Butts intentionally set fire to the house she was living in on McKinley Avenue, North Canton police said. The fire damaged two neighboring houses.
Arson investigators sent debris samples from the fire to the Division of State Fire Marshals, who determined arson was the cause.
Butts, who was arrested in February, pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated arson and one count of insurance fraud. Judge Taryn Health sentenced Butts to three years in prison.
