Dozens of parents showed up to a Northwest Local Schools board meeting Monday evening to demand answers concerning a high school teacher who has been accused of inappropriately touching his students.
"I'm pissed, because they are getting away with this," said parent Tammy Butler.
Teacher and coach Vic Whiting has come under fire since a mother accused him of massaging her 15-year-old daughter’s shoulders and stroking her arm and neck in class on April 22.
Now some parents are saying they'll take matters into their own hands if they don't get some sort of resolution-fast.
"If something isn't done, I will remove both of my kids from Northwest schools." said parent Jamie Williams.
She also said the fact that he is on paid administrative leave is just not OK.
"I'm just disappointed. I'm so tired of them sweeping this under the rug. They've known about this for years," Williams said.
The hope was that last month's meeting would expedite the investigation.
Whiting is accused of touching several other girls over the years—cases dating back to 1990.
The discussion over the topic Monday night lasted five minutes. Officials said only their attorney can answer questions at this time. The area superintendent left the meeting without addressing parents or the media.
