NORTH CANTON, Ohio - A North Canton football stadium was struck by vandalism and thefts totaling thousands of dollars in mid-November, according to police.
Police said in a report that the incident happened sometime between 2 p.m. Nov. 16 and 1:28 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Memorial Stadium complex on Wise Avenue NE.
The unknown suspect or group of suspects broke into the locker room and concession stands, vandalizing and stealing items, police said. They also said the soccer field was vandalized.
More than $10,000 worth of losses were initially reported but a $5,000 golf cart was recovered in the 300 block of Harmon Street SE on Nov. 18. The damage still added up, including a $250 32-inch LCD TV, $1,500 gate and post damage and door and door handle to the football locker room damage costing $265.
