A man who was accused of dealing drugs was arrested after calling police to report he was being robbed at gunpoint.

Canton police received a phone call from Matthew Thomas Forbush on Tuesday saying he was being robbed at gunpoint. When police arrived at the scene, they spoke to him and the other people involved.

According to police, Forbush eventually said he was in the area to sell narcotics to a man who then robbed him. Police searched him and found multiple other bags of narcotics packaged for sale.

Forbush was arrested at the scene and charged with a fourth-degree felony in trafficking drugs, obstructing official business and possession. He is currently being held in the Stark County jail, and is set to be arraigned for Wednesday at 9 a.m.
