Around 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Stark County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of vandalism at the Knights Inn, located at 3950 Convenience Cir. N.W. in Plain Township.

Owhynijiah Indonesia Jackson, 27, was arrested by police in Canton on one count of vandalism and one count of criminal damaging.

Police said Jackson intentionally damaged two vehicles in the parking lot with a set of jumper cables.  She then drove her vehicle into Marvin Proctor’s vehicle. The impact pushed Proctor’s vehicle into a wall at the Knights Inn causing damage to the structure.  Jackson then fled the scene.

Deputies were able to locate Jackson and her vehicle in the 200 block of Belden Ave. where she was arrested and placed in Stark County Jail.

Proctor, 30, of Alliance, was arrested on an unrelated traffic warrant out of Richfield Municipal Court.  He was taken and released to the Richfield Police Department.

Police said there were no injuries and the business remained open.
