Officers arrested Dimitrius Shawn Laury just after midnight on Winfield Way NE in Canton Saturday.
An elderly woman was assaulted in a home invasion on Aramis Street Monday, and officers issued an arrest warrant for Laury who has been charged with attempted rape and aggravated burglary, according to Jackson Township police.
Laury was considered armed and dangerous, according to authorities. People who come into contact with him are advised not to approach.
The burglary occurred at 2 a.m. in the 7600 block of Aramis Street, NW. Police believe Laury is also connected to an incident that occurred in the 3600 block of Oxford Street, NW.
Laury lives at 132 Dwight Avenue, SE in Massillon, but has been known to stay at other addresses throughout Stark County, according to authorities.
