UPDATE | Canton homicide victims were brothers

The victims of a double homicide who were found shot Saturday were brothers, police said. 

According to police, authorities responded to the 1600 block of 10th Street Northeast at around 5:49 a.m. regarding shots fired in the area. 

Authorities said when they got to the scene, they found 42-year-old Christopher Trent and 40-year-old Allen Trent, both of Canton, shot multiple times.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released additional details on the shootings and continue to investigate.

In 911 calls released by police, one caller told dispatch she heard 20 to 30 gunshots. A male voice can be heard in the background, who claimed to have found an individual shot & laying outside.

Another caller said she heard at least six gunshots, and then allegedly witnessed an individual run across the parking lot of the apartment complex.

A third caller, who identified herself as a bystander, told dispatch in the call that she saw someone shooting “randomly” on 10th Street.
