North Canton police took a man armed with multiple weapons and a bulletproof vest into custody after responding to a warning that he was allegedly planning to kill people in a Canton bar Thursday.

At 11:25 p.m. Officers were told about the suspected shooter and that he was in a vehicle parking lot in the 200 block of Wilbur NE.

Officers said they found Michael P. Bianchi, 29, of Uniontown sitting in his vehicle with several loaded firearms and knives. He was wearing a bulletproof vest and had black camouflage makeup on his face, according to police.

Bianchi was booked at Stark County Jail.
