ALLIANCE, Ohio - A live pipe bomb was found underneath a truck in Alliance and disabled by police Thursday night.
The resident found the device attached to their truck at about 1 p.m. in the 200 block of West Main Street, according to Alliance police. Before officers arrived, the resident had already pulled the bomb loose.
Police secured the area while the Summit County Sheriff's bomb squad and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded to the scene.
Police said the pipe bomb was about two feet long with wires attached. It was a live explosive and disarmed without being detonated.
The agencies involved continue to investigate the incident and anyone with information should call the Alliance Police Department.
