Three people suffered minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into the Bombay Sitar restaurant at 5111 Fulton Drive, Northwest at around 12:20 p.m. in Jackson Township Wednesday, according to Jackson Township police.

Authorities stated two of the injured were inside the vehicle when it crashed. The third was a customer, according to restaurant owner Ragbir Singh.

There is no cause at this time for the crash, though it looks like it may be a medical issue, according to police.

A 20-year-old woman was driving a Ford pickup with a 55-year-old man as a passenger when she lost control, left the road and went into the building causing significant damage, authorities said.

Singh said the woman went through a bathroom after she crashed into the building and her truck eventually came out into the area where customers pay their bills.

That's where the customer was injured, Singh said.

The driver and her passenger were transported to Aultman Hospital in Canton. The customer was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

Singh said 30 to 40 people were in the restaurant but on the other side of the building in the dining area.

Police are investigating the incident.
