BRIMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The first day of the Ohio turkey hunting season leaves two men with gunshot wounds in Brimfield Township.
Officials with the Ohio Division of Wildlife said the two men were struck with one shot around 7 a.m. Monday while hunting turkeys in the 5000 block of Sunnybrook Road.
The Kent Fire Department responded to the scene. Fire officials said one man suffered a gunshot wound to the face. He was transported to Akron City Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials said the second victim drove himself to the hospital.
The Ohio Division of Wildlife is handling the investigation.
