STREETSBORO, Ohio - Streetsboro Police have identified the person who they say stole hundreds of dollars worth of donated turkey dinners from a local business.
The manager at Valvoline Oil Change said $600 was raised to buy 13 turkey dinners to donate to the Streetsboro Christian Cupboard for the holiday season, which was to feed more than 100 people.
The dinners were in white boxes sitting outside the building where a volunteer was scheduled to pick them up.
Streetsboro Police said someone showed up around 10:30 a.m. and said his wife told him to pick up the dinners.
The employees at Valvoline helped load the dinners into the man's vehicle and took off. At 1 p.m., the volunteer from the Christian Cupboard arrived to find the dinners gone.
On Tuesday, police said they have identified who allegedly stole the dinners and where they went.
The case is still under investigation and it's not clear if charges will be filed.
