You've heard the phrase "brothers and sisters in blue."

To men and women in the law enforcement family, it's something that has a deep meaning.

For all, and, as you'll see, for one deputy in particular.

At the Portage County Sheriff's Office, there is a distinctive lack of hair. Deputy after deputy, and now one more.

For deputy Amy Papatoukakis — a wife, mom and D.A.R.E officer in the deputy's uniform for 11 years — it's a sign of her personal battle.

Amy had breast cancer and then surgery and now chemo. Last week, she started losing her hair.

So her longtime deputy partner Ed Hayes decided to do something about it.

In the middle of the night, unbeknownst to Amy, one by one, heads were shaved.

In total, 17 deputies shaved their heads for Amy.
