Kent State University celebrated its annual homecoming over the weekend and while the ceremony included all student organizations, for one it was not so welcoming.
While walking down Main Street in the parade, the Spanish and Latino Student Association (SALSA) says it was met with chants of "build that wall" Saturday from an unnamed fraternity.
The students, saddened by the event, took to social media to share their experience:
The post, which was also tweeted, has been shared 71 times and retweeted 91 times.
Kent State University president, Beverly J. Warren, along with other administrative faculty replied on Twitter sharing support for the group.
@KSUSALSA I am sorry to hear this report. I will ask VP @Shay_Little to explore this concern
