MONTVILLE TWP, Ohio - Tuesday night, hundreds poured into Revere High School for a candlelight vigil to remember a Bath Township teen who was killed in a head-on crash Sunday night.
Police said an SUV driven by Jeremy Goodrich traveled left of center and hit Katherine Babak's car on River Styx Road.
Goodrich has not been interviewed. Lt. Matthew Neil said the interview would probably come after toxicology reports are finished. They requested those reports from Metro Hospital Tuesday.
Police tell Newschannel5 they do not believe speed was a factor in the crash. Investigators plan to go back to the tow yard tomorrow to take measurements on the vehicles.
Babak, 16, died at the scene.
Goodrich, 26, of Rittman, and the teen's passengers — Valerie Snyder, 15, from Akron and Earlena Couch, 16, from Montville Township — were transported to Medina Hospital, then flown to area trauma centers, according to Montville Police Chief Terry Grice.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Snyder and Goodrich are both in fair condition at MetroHealth Medical Center.
The condition of Couch was unavailable, according to a MetroHealth spokesperson.
The crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
