Red Cross: 20 residents displaced by Brunswick tornado Monday night

BRUNSWICK, Ohio - The Red Cross said 20 people were displaced by the Brunswick storm, including a woman who was supposed to be packing for a trip to Alaska this week.

Arti DiIorio was supposed to be packing for a trip to Alaska this week. Instead, she had to put a few things in a suitcase and get out of her house.

The DiIorio's roof was torn off of their house during a fierce storm that hit Brunswick Monday evening.

"We've never had anything this devastating happen to us," she said. "I see this debris coming by. I didn't realize it was my roof."

Arti and her husband Dominic moved into their two-story home 40 years ago and raised two children there. They plan to return in about a month, but for now they have to find somewhere else to live.

"There are reasons for something like this," she said. "We have to pay attention."
