Thieves rob a Veterans Cemetery in Brunswick

Police looking for Veterans Cemetery robbers

Brunswick, OH - Brunswick police want to know who would rob a cemetery for veterans.

It happened last Thursday at the Eastlawn Cemetery on Grafton Road.

Police say someone stole a large bronze plaque which had 100 names of veterans on it.

Someone removed the bolts and carried the 250 to 300 pound object out of the cemetery.

Employees of the cemetery say the right column on the plaque was not completely finished.

Its about three square feet and police believe someone may be trying to sell it for scrap.

Police have contacted local scrap yards asking them to be on the look out.
