WADSWORTH, Ohio - The Wadsworth Police Department will have an officer available to accept all outdated and or unwanted prescription medications from the public on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The prescription medications can be dropped off at the Wadsworth Police Department, 120 Maple Street, during that time.
Officials said this is a completely confidential program. No personal information will be asked. Remove all prescription labels before arriving.
The drop-off location will be at the public lobby of the Wadsworth Police Department and vehicles can simply drive through, be met by an officer and the medication will be disposed of safely.
In partnership with the Medina County Drug Task Force, the Wadsworth Police Department will have a disposal box for outdated and or unwanted prescription medications in the lobby of city hall.
This dropoff box can be accessed during the times that city hall is open throughout the year. All unwanted medications can be placed in the Dispose of Unused Medications Properly box. Officials said needles will not be accepted.
