3 people injured in rollover crash that shut down S.R. 94

MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio - A Saturday afternoon wreck on State Route 94 sent three people to the hospital, leaving one victim with serious injuries.

The SUV versus car crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on S.R. 94 at the intersection of Ridgewood Road, according to Ohio State Highway Troopers.

Troopers said the 24-year-old driver of the Kia Spectra failed to yield the right of way to northbound traffic at a stop sign when his car was struck by a Ford Escape.

The impact the collision caused Rory Anderson's car to overturn into a ditch, trapping him inside.

Crews had to use the 'Jaws of Life' to free him.

Troopers said Anderson was flown to Akron General Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver, Shannon Quinn, 18, and passenger, Frank Sano, 22, of the SUV suffered minor injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Medina Hospital.

S.R. 94 was shut down for about an hour and a half, but has since re-opened.

Alcohol and drugs were not listed as factors in the crash.
