BRUNSWICK, Ohio - Several Northeast Ohio gymnast are being recognized nationally.
Nevaeh Sejka of Medina, Brielle Raus of North Royalton, Tessa Brousek and Alexiah Bryan, both of Brunswick, have made the National Diamond Team, the Top 50 7-year-old gymnasts in the country.
Five-Star Gymnastics had the most 7-year-old gymnasts quality for the National Diamond Team. The program is used to help USAG gymnastics identify those girls with physical skills typically needed for elite competition including international competition and the Olympics. The TOP's, Talent Opportunity Program, team members have qualified for national testing as well as the National Diamond Team.
Sejka scored the highest score in the nation on her physical abilities.
8-year-old Maiya Agnew, of Brookpark, qualified to represent Five-Star Gymnastics in Houston in October to test as one of the TOP 8-year-old gymnasts in the country.
Five-Star Gymnastics trains more than 600 gymnasts from all over Northeast Ohio.
