MONTVILLE, Ohio - A search is under way in Montville for a man police say forced an Aldi Supermarket manager to open a register so he could steal $1,100 in cash.
The robbery happened on Jan. 13 at the Aldi grocery store located at 3444 Medina Rd.
Montville police said a man came to the store just as the shift manager was locking up. The man was let in where he walked down the first aisle, then ran down the second with his hand under his shirt. It's not known if the man was concealing a weapon.
Police said the robber then grabbed the manager and pushed her towards the registers in the front of the store and demanded she open one of them.

The man was last seen running west towards the FirstMerit Bank in Montville. He is described as a white man in his 40's with flushed skin and "pock marks" from acne or the chicken pox.
