BRUNSWICK, Ohio - Parents of Brunswick City School students received an emergency alert call from the district superintendent on Friday.
Superintendent Michael Mayell told NewsChannel5 that the central office phones are being intentionally jammed by a foreign company.
"They are intentionally blocking our lines. We have informed them that we are a school system and they're response is ‘We don't care.' We have filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI, and they are hoping for a quick response," Mayell said. ". I apologize for this inconvenience and I hope this situation is resolved shortly."
The FBI said they have been in contact with the school and local authorities. They are monitoring the situation.
